“SwartAd has made us visible, across the city.”

—Dr. Mary Gallagher, LACC President

On the eve of Los Angeles City College's 90th anniversary, we wrote and designed a new image campaign for the school—but it was the students who participated that made the campaign. And we think their pride in the school, its professors and programs shines through in these ads.

Initiated by LACC President Mary Gallagher, informed by marketing strategist Alan Daniels, and with the support of the LACC Foundation, our campaign rolled out in the summer of 2018. Over 3 million weekly impressions* helped increase the Fall 2018 enrollment 7% over the previous year.

BILLBOARDS

Designed to be seen from a distance, large red LACC initials anchored the message and increased awareness of the school within a 5 mile radius of the campus.

BUS SHELTERS

There are so many benefits that a community college offers. In these bus shelter ads, SwartAd presented some of the opportunities awaiting LACC students.

Maria Villa strikes a pose.

Armani Phillips approves.

TRAIN CAR CARDS, STATION DIORAMAS and BUS TAILS

Because Los Angeles is a city constantly on the move, our ads were displayed everywhere a commuter might encounter them.

SwartAd's triplet headline+design became an aspirational call to action for the college, as proclaimed on the 2018 graduation ceremony backdrop at the Greek Theater.
