On June 7, 2022, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden gave a moving commencement speech at the LACC graduation. SwârtAd created a banner to commemorate her visit, which was presented by Robert Schwartz, LACC Foundation Chair, at the Greek Theater. And our Believe. Achieve. Succeed. motto continues to inspire students.

IT STARTED WITH A TAGLINE...
In 2015, the LACC Foundation asked SwârtAd to position Los Angeles City College, so we wrote a new slogan: “The City’s College.” The line references the school's city-centric nomenclature and proclaims to the surrounding community that it is indeed their college.

UNVEILED AND LINE-EXTENDED
ACROSS THE LACC CAMPUS, we line-extended the slogan—The City's College—to include notable alumni and students. To show support for the DACA community, we added “The Dreamers' College” in 2018.
A NEW CAMPAIGN helped increase enrollment 7%
The campaign rolled out in the summer of 2018 with over 3 million weekly impressions*.

To increase awareness, billboards were designed to be seen from a distance, with large LACC initials that anchored the message.
Ads in bus stops presented some of the opportunities available to LACC students.
TRAINS, STATIONS and BUSES
Because Los Angeles is a city on the move, our ads were displayed everywhere a commuter might encounter them.
A MOTIVATIONAL MESSAGE
OUR TRIPARTITE HEADLINE campaign—which serves as an aspirational call to action on campus buildings, transit, and graduation ceremony backdrop—won a 2020 Educational Advertising Award of Merit.

SwartAd designed a special mark for LACC’s 90th year that incorporated a shooting star from LACC's primary logo.
The work above represents just a fraction of the integrated campaigns that SwârtAd created for LACC. We also
created a style guide, sell sheets, jumbo banners and signage, digital board ads, print ads, social media icons
